- Our plan for redevelopment of the port of Aqaba, encompassing over 800 acres, will transform an industrial port into a new waterfront neighborhood including a cruise port, public spaces along the water's edge, a recreational marina, and significant new housing and commercial districts. The plan will be sustainable and environmentally friendly; incorporating vernacular forms and local materials into contemporary designs. The plan was pivotal in attracting a master developer to acquire the land for over $2 billion, supporting other development activities in Aqaba and reducing a portion of the national debt of Jordan.
