For the renowned World Heritage sites in Luxor, including the Valleys of the Kings and Queens as well as the Temples of Luxor and Karnak, ICON led the planning and urban design team for a regional and city-wide plan. The effort included a development and heritage preservation plan for City of Luxor, expansion of attractions on the West Bank, a heritage management strategy, and a regional growth program. The regional plan encompassed a new tourism zone for over 6,000 hotel rooms, a new town for 200,000 residents, and urban improvements to accommodate growth within Luxor City while protecting its antiquities.
