The Robert H. Kuehn, Jr. Award recognizes projects that pair strong collaboration with creative, forward-thinking approaches to the rehabilitation and active reuse of historic buildings — work that is both transformative and grounded in long-term stewardship.
At Sturbridge Senior Center, the goal was to bring new purpose to a historic structure while responding to the evolving needs of the community. The result is an open, flexible environment that supports gathering, programming, and everyday connection for the Town’s senior population.
