Once a vacant lot, cleared as part of the halted I-95 highway project, 25 Amory turns the corner with a gracious clerestory bay and a rhythm of stoops along the well-traveled connection to Jackson Square Station.
The main residential entry porch spills daylight through the building to the community room and landscaped courtyard beyond. In addition to the residential use, new streets with broad sidewalks and street trees connect the larger redevelopment as one of the final phases of the decades-long Jackson Square Master Plan. The improved streetscape is enlivened by two-story bays and inviting front stoops, adding texture to this transitional transit-oriented site.
25 Amory Street Apartments comprises 44 affordable rental apartments for families, including a community room and landscaped courtyard. ICON designed the building’s interior common spaces to reinforce one’s sense of “home” through vibrant colors distinguishing each floor level, and unit entry shelving offering the opportunity for personal accents. The building achieves LEED Gold certifiability and includes rooftop solar PV.
