Lincoln Community Center

The Lincoln Community Center is a 19,990 GSF single-story facility that brings together senior services, recreation, and youth programs into a shared, multigenerational hub. Located on the Lincoln School campus, the building consolidates programs from the Council on Aging and Human Services, Parks and Recreation, and the LEAP after-school program.

The plan prioritizes flexibility, with a central Community Gathering space anchoring divisible multipurpose, fitness, and activity rooms, along with conference and support spaces. Clear adjacencies allow programs to operate independently or together throughout the day and evening.

Daylight, views, and direct access to the outdoors are central to the design. Major shared spaces open to three distinct outdoor areas—a community patio, a quieter senior garden, and a landscaped entry plaza with a rain garden. A pedestrian bridge over Stony Brook connects the Center to playing fields, parking, and the Codman Pool.

The all-electric building meets Passive House envelope standards and is photovoltaic-ready, positioning the project to achieve Net Zero Energy once panels are installed.
